Welcome to Fount! If you’re reading this, it’s because you’ve chosen or been chosen to try out my update to MAST. While I love MAST (and you probably do too), there are small things I wish it did differently and even more small additions I wish it had. This system is my answer to those problems.

This is an ongoing project and I will continue to update and iterate based on feedback provided by you. If you’re familiar with MAST, the setup is exactly the same, so you won’t need to change your habits.

V0.1.7 January 21, 2025

• A complete overhaul of the variable system. Variables are no broken into their respective folders and renamed for more clarity. Instead of Row and Gap Col [LG], it’s now just Desktop under the gap section of the layout folder. Easy.
• Renamed the .container combo class of .cc-mw-none to .cc-full Who the hell knows what mw means, you know?
• Removed
  • Cards and Card styling
  • p-14 p-20 and p-24 in favor of letting you create your own set of typography instead of wrangling these.
  • Removed row gaps because the people that use this system always say they end up resetting it anyway.
• Renamed u-aspect-phonescreen to just u-aspect-phone to be concise.
• Fixed text area input sizes and added a minimum height to both text area and input fields.

New year new system! Almost…

• Updated all line heights to unit-less numbers instead of em.
• Updated all font weights to numbers.
• Renamed font weights to what their real names so you don't have to guess numbers anymore.
• Paragraph size, line height, weight, and letter spacing is now tied to the body.
• Added text-wrap: pretty to all long-form content. Even if your browser doesn't support it, at least it'll look better on browsers that do!
• Added meta theming to the head custom code in project settings. Now you can style the browser window color itself if the browser supports that. Note: Variables are not supported here, don't use them. They won't work.
• Removed the scrollbar from the custom code.
